Refuse Driver - Class 2

HGV Refuse Driver / Waste Collection Driver (Class 2) Location: Bolton, BL1 Pay Rate: £14.45 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 am start Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Working on behalf of a local authority client within the Environmental Services sector. Sure Start Staff are recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers to work with a local authority within Environmental Services. The Role: - Drive refuse collection vehicles (RCVs/bin lorries) safely and efficiently - Collect household, recycling and commercial waste - Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects - Work as part of a waste collection team and assist with loading when required - Follow all health & safety and environmental procedures - Provide a professional service to the public Requirements: - Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence - Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card - Minimum 6 months’ HGV driving experience - Previous RCV/refuse experience desirable but not essential – training may be provided - Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather - Reliable, safety-conscious and team-focused Important: Only candidates with valid licences and relevant driving experience will be considered. Experience must be clearly detailed on your CV. Successful applicants will need to provide 2 work references covering the last 2 years, plus proof of licences and qualifications.
