Multi-skilled Flagger

Location: Bury, BL9 Pay Rate: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Paid Hours: 7.4 hours per day Start Date: 19th October 2026 Duration: Until February 2027, with the possibility of extension Job Type: Temporary / Long-Term Opportunity About the Role: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Flagger to join a busy repairs and maintenance team working across council-owned properties and housing stock throughout the Borough of Bury. The successful candidate will have proven experience in flagging, paving and associated external groundworks, together with a strong understanding of working safely and professionally within a domestic or social housing environment. Key Duties: - Carry out repairs and renewals to flags, paving, pathways and steps. - Complete repairs to external surfaces and drainage systems. - Undertake associated groundwork and minor masonry repairs. - Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements. - Work professionally and respectfully when attending occupied social housing properties. - Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity standards. - Work independently and as part of a wider team. Essential Requirements: - Proven experience in flagging and groundwork repairs. - Previous experience working within social housing, council properties or a similar domestic repairs environment. - Valid CSCS Card. - Full, clean UK driving licence. - Own hand tools and equipment required for the role. - Good knowledge of health and safety requirements. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication and customer service skills.
