The Role:

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Oldham, is looking to recruit an efficient and dependable Production Operative / Counterbalance FLT Driver to join their team for an immediate start.

This is a key role within the production process, involving the preparation and organisation of chemical powder mixes ready for manufacturing. Known as 'Kitting Up', the position requires someone who is hands-on, physically fit, organised and able to work accurately in a busy production environment.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence and have previous warehouse, manufacturing or production experience.

This is a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, weighing and measuring chemical powder mixes ready for production.

• Manually handling and loading 25kg bags of chemicals onto pallets.

• Accurately recording batch numbers to maintain full product traceability.

• Using a Counterbalance FLT to move prepared pallets onto the mixing deck.

• Ensuring all materials are correctly organised and ready for the Mixer to check before production begins.

• Preparing sufficient mixes throughout the day to meet production requirements.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.

• Following all health and safety procedures when handling materials and chemicals.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence – essential.

• Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment.

• Physically fit and comfortable regularly handling 25kg bags.

• Good attention to detail, particularly when recording batch information.

• Reliable, punctual and well organised.

• Able to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.

What We Offer:

• £14.17 per hour.

• Enhanced overtime rate of £21.26 per hour on Fridays.
